Professional installation is always a good idea if you don’t have much experience installing electrical devices like lights. About the power cord:
The red wire goes to your live wire. The blue wire goes to your neutral wire. The yellow wire goes to your ground. You MUST distinguish between your live and neutral wires when testing them, reversing them can burn out the assembly. The hex area will need to be powered in two places on the hex grid. This is because each of the light tubes contains transformers and by powering them in one place, there is too much load on the first two light tubes where the power is supplied.
