If you're an audiophile, these aren't for you. If you want noise canceling headphones, this isn't it. But if you want a comfortable pair of headphones that will allow you to listen to music at work while still being aware of your surroundings, then I'd give these a try.
I have small ears and I can't stand having anything pushed into my ear canal. Noise canceling in-ear headphones hurt my eardrums for no apparent reason, so my headphone options are pretty limited these days, but I've been using this type for years. They are inexpensive and hold up to the abuse I put them through. I've never timed how long it takes me to wear them, but it's usually 9 months to a year...which is pretty good bang for your buck IMHO.

These are much more comfortable than headphones that look like rubber plugs that you stick in your ears. In low noise environments they work very well with lots of good sound. If I work with power tools, I simply wear them under industrial hearing protectors - this keeps the volume low (not hearing-damaging), yet still hears content well even when standing next to a compressor. running air. But, these are not good for noisy environments without the hearing protection sleeves, like walking beside a street, because you would need to turn up the volume to dangerous levels to hear the content on the noise of traffic - but not being able to use these in some noisy environments are worth it, to me, for the extra comfort they offer over rubber plug-style headphones.

I used to buy them from Target and was really happy to find them on Amazon as I ran out of the ones I bought from Target. I never had a problem with these over the years I had bought them until the last batch I bought at Target which they had on clearance - I bought four pairs, and two were DOA (recently discovered). So I checked all the ones I bought on Amazon when they arrived, and they all worked fine. But, after this latest Target experience, I recommend checking out all pairs, right away, if you're buying more than one.

The packaging of Amazon's ones is also much more manageable than Target's sealed plastic tubes — Amazon's ones ship in a small, easy-to-open cardboard box. The price on Amazon is also better than what Target was selling them for.

I bought these to wear to the gym and they work well. These are inexpensive and play music very well. They don't cancel noise like more fancy headphones, but that's not what I bought them for. I always like to use wired headphones and I prefer them more than wireless headphones. I am happy with my purchase and when they break I will buy them again

Good sound for a good price. Old school but works. You can still hear someone or outside noise if someone is close enough or playing THEIR music, a boom box or a speaker, so no noise cancellation, but at least no one can really surprise you. The B+ headphones do the job.

I have always purchased Sony in-ear products and they are generally top quality. But these are absolutely terrible, the size of the units are much smaller than usual, almost like they can't decide if they want to be in-ear or external. They don't fit in the ear very well and as other reviewers have said they are incredibly tiny. If you want to hear any type of bass, you have to press it against your ears with your fingers. I'm really disappointed with these and feel like I really wasted my money.

Sony headphones are much better than other headphones in this price range. Worth spending those extra 3-4 pounds. I've had them for a few months already and they still work perfectly (usually my headphones work for a few weeks and then one goes away, but not this time). I had them before and they worked for 2 years, then I decided to try another brand, but it only worked for 4 weeks. I am now sure I will stick with Sony as they are much better

Well, I'm a Sony fan and have a lot of products that are generally very good quality at competitive prices, but these little budget headphones (MDR-E9LP) are a bit of a disappointment.
After receiving them, I tried them on my Google (LG) Nexus 4 smartphone and found them to distort quite a bit.
They're quite comfortable but compared to all the other Sony headphones I've had over the years, this is the first time I've been disappointed.
